Continuing to Support the Community While Working From Home
Dear Community Development Colleagues:
We hope that you and your organizations and families are staying safe and healthy as we face the Coronavirus crisis together. We want to inform you that, despite the extraordinary impacts to our lives that we are experiencing, CEDAC is continuing to function and carry out its important business activities.
In accordance with the Baker Administration’s recent order regarding business activity during this public health crisis, the CEDAC office closed on March 24th. CEDAC commenced with remote work operations for most staff on March 16th, and all staff will continue working from home until further notice to help protect them and the community. We have been engaged in planning efforts over the past couple of weeks in coordination with our Executive Branch and sister quasi-public agency partners, and we are determined to continue to deliver our technical and financial assistance services during this period.
We are able to continue to review, approve, and disburse funds under our predevelopment and acquisition lending programs, as well as under our state bond-funded programs. We are also working with our non-profit partners on new loan requests or loan increases, and will issue commitments during this period. All meetings will be handled via conference calls using ZOOM or other technology.
We are also aware of an increase in cyber threats during this time. Therefore, we are taking extra precautions to avoid email phishing and wire frauds.
Finally, we have formed an emergency management team that meets weekly to monitor how CEDAC is functioning and address any issues as needed. We will make sure to update you on any changes as we all move forward.
While we are reaching out to our active community development partners, we invite you to let us know how we can be helpful to your organization during this extraordinary public health crisis. Please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We wish you all good health as collectively we manage this crisis.
