Sector strategies have proven to be very effective in moving lower-skilled individuals into high growth, high wage jobs with career pathways. Very little, however, has been done to focus sector strategies to address the underutilization of women in industries and occupations that are high growth and high wage with career pathways. Sector initiatives provide a way to support opportunities for women through data-driven strategies, which resonate with funders, employers, and unions, and are in line with the funding directions of DOL’s Employment and Training Administration. This webinar with Tarecq Amer of the National Network of Sector Partners (NNSP) and Susan Crandall of WorkResults will highlight research tools, policies, and programs that work to address these workforce disparities and offer hands-on tools for agencies and non-profits.
